Crunch Fitness has launched Crunch Reform Pilates™, an instructor-led reformer Pilates class concept at 20 locations. The classes will open in California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, Colorado, and Michigan. Each class combines in-person coaching with digital guidance for pacing, movement flow, and technique. Studios are expected to begin opening from early to late July.
Reformer Classes At Crunch
The studios will include reformer machines, digital programming screens, and integrated lighting and sound packages. Crunch said the format brings reformer-based training into its gyms alongside strength, cardio, recovery, and community offerings.
Jim Rowley, CEO at Crunch Fitness, said:
“Consumers shouldn't have to choose between premium experiences and affordability. Reformer Pilates has traditionally been offered solely at a boutique price point, and Crunch Reform Pilates™ changes that.”
Digital Guidance And Coaching
Crunch Reform Pilates™ uses digital instruction to guide the class while instructors provide individual support. The company cited consumer interest in low-impact movement, mobility, recovery, and longevity, with reformer Pilates listed among fitness’s fastest-growing categories.
Jake McLendon, Vice President of Group Fitness at Crunch, said:
“We're seeing increasing interest from a much broader audience, from 'Young, Strong and Social' consumers to older members who want to improve their mobility and longevity. Reform Pilates™ was designed to meet that demand in a way that feels approachable and engaging for all users, regardless of their previous experience or level of fitness. Built-in digital guidance allows instructors to spend more time coaching and creating connection, resulting in an experience that feels both elevated and approachable.”
Further Locations Planned
Crunch said additional Reform Pilates™ locations are planned based on market demand and member response. The company serves 3.5 million members through more than 550 gyms worldwide.
