Manami Yamamoto, LMFT, a California-based licensed marriage and family therapist, has announced a book in development, Truly Be Well: Nurturing True Wellness from Within. The book will expand on her Humanology and Inner Nurturing frameworks. Yamamoto’s approach centers on awareness, compassion, resilience, and meaningful connection. Yamamoto’s announcement puts the global wellness industry at more than $6.8 trillion.
A Framework for Inner Wellness
Yamamoto developed Humanology through clinical practice, cross-cultural work, and experience supporting individuals and communities in Eastern and Western societies. Inner Nurturing is its central concept, presenting well-being as something that can grow when internal conditions are supported.
Manami Yamamoto, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, said:
“True wellness is not created by simply fixing what is wrong with us. It grows when we nurture the human capacities that already exist within us, our awareness, compassion, resilience, and ability to connect.”
Yamamoto describes the framework as a proactive orientation that asks individuals and communities to cultivate those four capacities before a crisis occurs. Yamamoto’s clinical work integrates Expressive Arts Therapy, somatic practices, nonverbal approaches, and talk therapy.
