Ubud Resort Plans Cultural Welcome for 2027

The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali will mark New Year’s Eve with Tari Nusantara, a program of traditional Indonesian dances spanning Aceh to Papua. The celebration will take place beside the resort pool in Ubud’s tropical surroundings as guests welcome 2027. The program draws on Tri Hita Karana, a Balinese philosophy centered on harmony between humanity, the divine, nature, and one another. The resort is also introducing a three-night minimum-stay package, A Longer Stay, A Deeper Ubud.

Tari Nusantara Program

Tari Nusantara will present dances that reflect the diversity, artistry, and traditions of the Indonesian archipelago.

Traditional dance movements form part of the event’s cultural focus. In Balinese dance, jeriring refers to a subtle finger movement expressing trembling, while agem is a fundamental posture associated with balance and poise.

Saraswati Subadia, General Manager at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali, said:

“New Year's Eve is an opportunity to celebrate not only new beginnings, but also the connections that make travel meaningful. Through Tari Nusantara, we hope to share Indonesia's cultural richness while inviting guests to reconnect with nature, embrace wellbeing, and welcome 2027 with a renewed sense of balance and togetherness,”

A Longer Ubud Stay

A Longer Stay, A Deeper Ubud is available across all room categories for guests booking a minimum of three nights. The package invites guests to discover a more mindful way to experience Ubud.

Guests can use the resort’s shuttle service to reach Ubud Central and explore local art, cultural landmarks, and other discoveries. Families can also visit The Farm and feed the animals at the resort.
