Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has opened Kai Holo Spa, a new wellness destination in Maui, Hawaii. The spa’s name translates to “flowing tide” in Hawaiian. Its facilities include an aquathermal center with three hydrotherapy pools, steam, saunas, and treatment rooms. The opening is part of a wider resort transformation led by design firm Meyer Davis.
Aquathermal Center Opens
The aquathermal center is built around a sculptural black granite wall and includes a vitality pool, therapeutic hot pool, and cold plunge. Guests can also use a steam room, sensory experience shower, traditional sauna, and infrared sauna. Light and color are used throughout the center, relaxation lounge, and treatment rooms, which the resort says are intended to support circadian rhythms.
Pat Makozak, Senior Spa Director at Four Seasons Resort Maui, said:
“At Kai Holo Spa, every experience has been shaped with care, from the way guests are welcomed into the space to the final notes of each treatment. Wellness today is deeply personal, and at Kai Holo that means meeting each guest exactly where they are. Whether spending an afternoon flowing through the aquathermal circuit or immersing themselves in one of our signature rituals, the intention is the same: transformation not as a destination, but as a direction.”
Pacific Journeys Treatments
The spa’s Pacific Journeys menu includes the Kai Holo Signature Oceanside Ritual, which features a black sea-salt foot soak, honey and sugar polish, kukui oil massage, and scalp ritual. Piko Mālama Wahine includes an herbal poultice with honey, lemon balm, chamomile, and lavender, alongside kukui oil massage and an amla oil scalp ritual.
Other treatments include the Spirulina & Astaxanthin Ocean Detox Body Ritual, with dry brushing, a seaweed and Hawaiʻi-grown spirulina wrap, and lomi lomi massage. The Queen’s Garden Fern Ritual uses fern oil sourced from Kauai, island botanicals, massage, and a lava mask applied to the spine and feet.
Longevity And Fitness Services
Adjacent to the spa, a redesigned longevity center continues the resort’s collaboration with Next|Health, which began in 2021. The center offers biomarker testing, IV therapy, and NAD+ treatments, with a hyperbaric chamber due in late summer.
The resort has also updated its fitness center with Technogym equipment and body composition analysis. Its infrared Movement Studio will offer yoga, Pilates reformer, and outdoor TRX classes. Wellness retreat programming curated by Makozak is set to debut later this year.
Part Of Resort Transformation
Kai Holo Spa is the centerpiece of a resort-wide transformation that also covers guest rooms, suites, and the Club Floor. Meyer Davis is guiding the project’s design across these areas.
