Global Wellness Summit will hold its 20th-anniversary conference at Angsana Laguna Phuket in Thailand from November 10 to 13, 2026. The event’s theme is “The Science, Art and Soul of Wellness,” with sessions examining Asia’s wellness economy and approaches to longevity. Asia-Pacific’s wellness market reached $2 trillion for the first time and grew 9.3% in 2024, the summit says. The agenda will bring together wellness company CEOs, doctors, academics, technology leaders and policymakers.
Asia’s Wellness Markets
The conference will examine sectors including wellness travel, spas, beauty, traditional medicine, wellness real estate, architecture, design and policy. Asia’s wellness tourism market was valued at $215 billion and grew 31% in 2024, while traditional and complementary medicine represented a $379 billion market in the region.
Asia’s wellness real estate market reached $350 billion, with 26% annual growth from 2019 to 2025. The region’s spa market was valued at $42.5 billion, while its thermal and mineral springs market reached $38 billion across 22,611 establishments.
Aging And Longevity
The program will consider aging populations across Japan, China, Korea, Singapore and India. The summit notes that more than one in four Asians will be 60 or older by 2050.
Sessions will cover government policy and wellness destinations, including China’s Healthy China 2030 plan and Singapore’s policies supporting healthy longevity. The Summit will also discuss resorts and clinics that combine medical diagnostics with traditional practices including Ayurveda, yoga, Tibetan medicine, TCM and Thai healing traditions.
Thailand’s Conference Role
Thailand’s wellness and longevity tourism plans will be a focus of the Phuket gathering. Organizers point to the country’s “Healing Journey Thailand” campaign and the “Wellness Hub Thailand, The Land of Life: The Journey Within” initiative, involving more than 20 organizations.
Susie Ellis, GWS chair and CEO, said:
“Thailand is the perfect host for a conference that will explore wellness's deepest historic roots and its more medical, high-tech future, and I'm so excited that we're celebrating our 20th anniversary there. In Thailand—and all across Asia—there's that unique mix of foundational wisdom and innovation in wellness, preventative health and longevity. We want to immerse delegates in the future of Asia, because it's the future of wellness.”
