Stonyfield Opens Organic Cow Spa in Maine
Organic Cow Spa bookings open August 26 for Stonyfield Organic’s farm-inspired wellness experience in Maine from September 10.
by Body & Soul Newsroom ·

Stonyfield Organic will open a limited-time Organic Cow Spa at Rainbow Valley Farm in Maine for National Organic Month. The bookable experience will run from September 10 through October 3, with reservations opening August 26. Visits cost $120, referencing the 120 days certified organic standards require cows to graze on pasture each year. The spa reimagines practices often found on organic farms as activities for guests, working with one of Stonyfield Organic’s direct supply farms.
Farm Inspired Experiences
Each visit includes cow cuddle sessions, a meditation trail, aromatherapy and scalp massage, a pasture-inspired rest and relaxation corner, foot care, and a Green Graze Juice. Animal-interaction activities are subject to availability, weather, farm conditions, staff guidance, and animal and guest safety considerations.
The meditation trail is designed as a short farm walk, while the rest and relaxation area includes meditation and journaling. The massage experience takes inspiration from cow grooming and brushing practices, including peppermint essential oils used by many cows at Stonyfield Organic direct supply farms.
Organic Farming Standards
Stonyfield Organic works with family farmers following the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Organic Standards. Those standards require cows to spend at least 120 days grazing on pasture.
The company said some organic farms also use activity trackers, grooming brushes, essential oils, and regular hoof care as part of cow care routines. The Organic Cow Spa is intended to give visitors a firsthand look at how those practices relate to organic farming.
Bookings Begin August 26
Bookings for the Organic Cow Spa begin August 26 at stonyfieldorganiccowspa.com. Stonyfield Organic said dates may be expanded beyond October 3.
