Coco Plum Island Resort has unveiled updated dining, pool and lounge spaces at its adults-only private island property off southern Belize. The project covers more than 6,000 square feet and includes Coco Palms Restaurant & Bar and Serenity Bar & Pool. Now in its 26th year, the resort has created two separate gathering areas for guests on its 16-acre island. The property has 21 private cabanas and one overwater villa.

Coco Palms Restaurant And Bar

Located at the northern end of the island, Coco Palms Restaurant now has open-air indoor and outdoor dining, an infinity pool, expanded lounge areas and Caribbean Sea views. The restaurant serves chef-prepared breakfasts, lunches and three-course dinners using fresh local ingredients.

The menu draws on American, Maya, Mestizo and Garifuna culinary traditions, while cocktails are served throughout the day.

A Second Poolside Setting

Serenity Bar & Pool sits on the southeast end of the island. It includes a newly constructed Belizean-style thatch bar, tropical landscaping and the resort’s original swimming pool, which has been relocated to form a second gathering place.

The two areas are intended to give guests a choice between shared dining and cocktail occasions at Coco Palms, or a quieter poolside setting at Serenity.

Part Of A Belizean Collection

Coco Plum Island Resort is locally owned and managed, and is part of a Belizean-owned collection that also includes Manta Island Resort, Belizean Dreams Resort and Laru Beya Resort. The four properties offer private-island and beachfront stays across Belize’s coastal destinations.
