Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa has set out its fall and winter getaway program in Galena, Illinois, with seasonal packages, dining updates and access to regional events. The 6,800-acre resort overlooks Lake Galena and is about 150 miles west of Chicago. Its accommodation options range from Inn rooms to villas and distinctive homes. Guests can use 63 holes across four championship golf courses, along with spa, dining and recreation facilities.
Golf And Dining
The resort’s four championship golf courses include The General, which has elevation changes and countryside views. Other fall activities include hiking, horseback riding, seasonal recreation on Lake Galena and Stonedrift Spa.
Executive chef Brandon Veitch joined the resort in June after roles at The Peninsula Chicago, The Langham Chicago and Edge by Goldmoor Inn. At Woodlands Restaurant, the dinner menu includes Lobster Cavatappi, Heritage Pork Chop, Alaskan Halibut and Prime New York Strip, alongside Thursday Pasta Night and Saturday Prime Rib Night.
Seasonal Package Dates
The Spooky Weekend Getaway runs October 22 to 25, 2026, with two nights of accommodations, $75 in Eagle Ridge Dollars, two Fear Forest tickets per bedroom and transportation for registered package guests. Rates start at $573, with accommodations ranging from Inn rooms to five-bedroom homes.
The Thanksgiving Getaway is available November 24 to 28, 2026. Its three-night package starts at $612, plus tax and resort amenity fee, and includes accommodations, $70 in Eagle Ridge Dollars, a large family pizza and soft drinks from Woodlands Restaurant.
The Family Holiday Package runs from December 26, 2026, to January 2, 2027. It includes a three-night stay, $70 in Eagle Ridge Dollars, pizza, a soft drink and Nordic Center access, including sled rentals when weather permits.

Galena Events And Winter Activities
The resort is positioned for local events including the October 3 Galena Oktoberfest, the October 10 to 11 Galena Country Fair, and the October 31 Galena Halloween Parade & Festival.
When conditions allow, the Nordic Center offers ice skating, snowshoeing and sledding down the 10th hole of The General course. The resort also has an indoor golf simulator.
