Beyond Monumental will host the sold-out 19th annual CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis on November 7. The event will bring runners and walkers from all 50 states and more than 35 countries to marathon, half marathon and 5K races. CNO Financial Group, the title sponsor since 2016, will have more than 300 associates and guests participating or volunteering. All three race distances are sold out, and waitlists have closed.

Record Sellout For Race Weekend

The 2026 event marks the marathon weekend’s 14th consecutive sellout and its earliest sellout to date. Festivities begin with the Monumental Health & Fitness Expo on November 5 and 6 in Halls A and B of the Indiana Convention Center. The free public expo will feature more than 50 vendors, official Brooks Running merchandise, sponsor experiences and opportunities for participants and spectators to connect before race day.

Jed Cornforth, President & CEO at Beyond Monumental, said:

“Celebrating our 14th consecutive sellout, and our earliest ever, is a testament to the incredible enthusiasm and support surrounding Monumental Marathon weekend. Every participant brings their own story and goals to the start line, and our community comes together to make those moments even more meaningful. We're excited to welcome runners and walkers from around the world and showcase the very best of Indianapolis.”

CNO Continues Sponsorship

CNO Financial Group has been title sponsor since 2016 and extended its title sponsorship through 2028 earlier this year. Its associates and guests will take part across the weekend’s three races and volunteer during the event.

Rocco Tarasi, Chief Marketing Officer at CNO Financial Group and Beyond Monumental board member, said:

“We're excited to once again welcome participants, volunteers and fans from across the world to Indianapolis for what has become such a special weekend for the community. Now in our 11th year as title sponsor, CNO is proud to continue our partnership with Beyond Monumental and our commitment to the health and well-being of central Indiana. We look forward to celebrating another monumental race weekend and returning for its 20th running next year.”

Elite Runners Join Celebrations

Indianapolis-based professional runner Emma Grace Hurley will attend the expo on Friday and race-day celebrations on Saturday. Hurley recently finished as the top American woman at the Chicago Marathon in 2:20:47, setting a new American marathon debut record. She also finished fifth at the 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships, where Team USA earned a silver medal in the half marathon.

Competitive elite fields will pursue course records and qualifying times for the 2028 U.S. Olympic Team Trials Marathon. Prize money and qualifying bonuses will be available.

Ways To Take Part

Beyond Monumental offers year-round programming, including the Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement presented by IU Indianapolis. Community members can volunteer, cheer along the course or support participants during race weekend. More information is available at monumentalmarathon.com.
