Mission Inn Sets 34th Festival Of Lights Dates

The Mission Inn Festival of Lights returns to Riverside from Nov. 21, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027, with lights, events and tours.

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa will hold its 34th annual Festival of Lights in downtown Riverside from Nov. 21, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027. The hotel will mark its 150th anniversary year with millions of lights, festive décor and nightly snowfall. The free Switch-On Ceremony takes place Nov. 21, with a fireworks show and live performances. The festival is open to hotel guests, local visitors and families from across the region.

The Nov. 21 ceremony will launch the annual display at the historic property. The program includes the lights display, fireworks and live performances.

New Shop And Pop Ups

The season’s activities include meet-and-greets with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the lobby Gingerbread House and Holiday Market, with hot cocoa and themed retail. A new Festival of Lights gift shop will sell holiday merchandise year-round.

The hotel is also partnering with Build-A-Bear Workshop® for select Festival of Lights pop-up events, where guests can create personalized furry friends. Hotel guests will have access to resort credit, in-room Christmas trees and family story time with Santa’s elves.

Experiences For Visitors

Bookable options for hotel guests and local visitors include Breakfast with Santa on weekends, Memories with Santa Photo Studio on selected days, and the Festival of Lights & Delights Tour on select evenings.
